| We
give every village we work in not only new books, but a true story of the
many, many people behind each project. It leaves the village with not
just a new library, but with a warmer world. This is the story that
touches the villagers' hearts more than all else. This page,
particularly, is in honor of all the people who have given so much and make
our work possible. Here, unfortunately, we can share only a
fraction of all that has been sent "to Russia with love". We can
simply say that each year we take three stuffed suitcases and two changes of
clothes -- which take precious space away from the dozens of mittens (made
by "Grandma Mittens"), the hundreds of book markers made by the talented
eight graders of Kingswood Middle School, the colorful quilts sent by
special friends, and the jax, Indian dream catchers and slinkies stuffed in
all the corners. This page truly represents the most important work of all. Our sincerest thanks to all.
